Iran’s 7th annual Urban International Film Festival has announced the award-winners for its international competition.
According to a press release, the festival’s jury panel has announced the award-winners for various sections of the festival’s 7th annual event including the international competition.
The festival’s international competition consists of seven prizes presented in the categories of Best Animation Director, Best Director for Short and Medium-Length Fiction Film, Best Director for Short and Medium-Length Documentary Film, Best Director for Documentary Feature Film, Best Documentary Feature Film, Best Director for Feature Film, and Best Feature Film.
Representing 12 countries and Iran, the award-winners are as follows:
Best Animation Director
Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata for ‘Negative Space’ representing France
Best Director for Short and Medium-Length Fiction Film
Mahdi Fleifel for ‘A Drowning Man’ representing Greece
Best Director for Short and Medium-Length Documentary Film
Michael Glumstein for ‘Infinity is 50 Meters Away’ representing Poland
Best Director for Documentary Feature Film
Lisa F. Jackson for ‘Heritage’ representing Mexico
Boris Bertram for ‘The Human Shelter’ representing Denmark
Best Director for Feature Film
Andrey Zvyagintsev for ‘Loveless’ representing Russia
Best Feature Film
Saeed Saadi for ‘Sheeple’ representing Iran
The 7th edition of the Urban International Film Festival came to a close Sunday July 21, 2019 and the awards ceremony was held Monday July 22, 2019 in Iran's capital city of Tehran.
